Korabo has been invited back to perform at Coronado High School’s benefit concert Culture Shock. This year, all proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Red Cross in order to assist in their effort in the Philippines after the recent typhoons. The event begins at 6pm and Korabo will be performing at 710pm.

Korabo’s Gene and Dave will be performing odaiko solos between bouts at this Kickboxing Empire event in the newly remodeled Axis Theater at Planet Hollywood.
The main event features two 23-year-old heavyweights—Agron Preteni of Split, Croatia, against Luis Tavares of Rotterdam, Netherlands, fighting for the vacant International Kickboxing Association heavyweight championship.

Korabo’s Gene and Jen will be drumming as part of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s introduction at this year’s CinemaCon at the Colosseum. Pinoy Pride Celebration is a three-day long Filipino festival and carnival running April 11th to April 13th. This year the event will be held in the parking lot of Main Street Station. The festival will include a multitude of food, rides, games, activities, and performances. Korabo will be performing on Saturday, April 12th at noon. Check out the Pinoy Pride website.
UNLV’s Festival of Communities

Festival of Communities celebrates the diversity of UNLV and the Las Vegas community, with fantastic cultural performances, food from around the world, locally-made arts and crafts, and activities for kids of all ages including bumper cars and a bounce house! This year, Festival of Communities is joining together with GreenFEST. This double festival has the combined mission to celebrate the rich cultural diversity of UNLV and the Las Vegas Valley and honor National Earth Day. Korabo will be performing at 240pm. Na Hula Hali’a Aloha Cutural Presentation hosts the Asian Pacific Dreams Festival at the Green Valley Library. This festival will feature live cultural performances, ethnic displays, and make it and take it activity classes. This event runs 10a-4p and Koraobo will be performing at 1045a, will hold a taiko mini lesson outside the library 1130a-noon, and will be conducting a make it and take it workshop through out the day. This festival is free for all ages. We hope to see you there.

We are honored to once again be invited to Winchester Cultural Center’s Children’s Festival. Admission is free, and the many free activities include: dance and music performances, arts and crafts, exotic animals from Roos ‘n’ More, workshops, storytelling and carnival games as performers stroll the park. Vendors with small fees include a rock climbing wall, historic battles, pony rides, and food and drink vendors. The festival will run 10am to 3pm. Korabo will perform at 130pm with a taiko workshop to run immediately after at 2pm.

Presented by the The Japanese American Citizens League of Las Vegas, Journey of the Koi by drum unit Senrai. Senrai, a musical group that features taiko drumming, shamisen and shakuhachi, continues to raise funds for earthquake and tsunami relief efforts in Japan. Also performing at this event will be Las Vegas Kaminari Taiko and Korabo Taiko. Doors open at 530pm and the show will begin at 6pm.

Recording artist and entertainer Lena Prima, youngest daughter of music legend Louis Prima, makes her first appearance at the Casablanca Showroom bringing her powerful voice and infectious energy to Mesquite on November 7th at 7pm.
Joined by her seven-piece band, Prima will also perform tunes from her recently released album, along with her father’s classics. The show will also feature the talents of Art Vargas, Amanda Kaiser and the taiko drum group Korabo along with rare vintage video footage of Louis Prima.

Korabo will be part of the entertainment along the Las Vegas Rock ‘n Roll Marathon route, right at Fremont Street and Las Vegas Boulevard. We’ll be sharing the venue with Las Vegas’ very own Count’s 77! Count’s 77 will be on from 53op til 630p, Korabo will be on from 630p til 730p, and then Count’s 77 will take the last set from 730p til 830p. Even if you’re not running in the marathon or half marathon, come down and check out the free entertainment.
