Skin-soaking jig
Our resident mad scientist Dave has created yet another ingenious invention: the skin-soaking jig.
The jig is made entirely of PVC. One end has two spouts: one for inserting and extracting the rolled up skin and one for pouring and draining the water.
To get the skin pliable enough to roll up and fit in the jig, we first needed to soak it in a bath for a bit. Once we got the skin rolled up and inserted in the jig, we let it mellow out for a few days, changing the water every 24 hours or so.
Brilliant!
